If I was really skilled I would have planned for the tuna door catch to be the dot on the top of that I. We got the name stuck on minutes before the boat mover arrived to move the boat into the front yard. We need to be outside for a couple days so we can fit the radar arch and make arrangements for all the wiring that need to make its way up the legs. Another fun thing we had to do on Saturday was to get all the stuff off the boat: boxes of screws, tools, empty soda bottles, etc... It also gave us the opportunity to see how close this project is to being complete. Hopefully we can move this thing from the "BOATS IN THE SHOP" section to the "Launched Boats" section in the near future.

The wheelhouse is done except for the nonskid on the floor and that should be done once the boat is moved back into the shop. The panels on the companionway door have been painted to match the rest of the interior paint, giving the boat a professional finished look. Hatches over the top of the motor have been built so that the forward and aft hatch lip onto the center hatch making water drain off to the outside gutter along the outside edge. These hatches have all been fitted with Soundown insulation to keep the engine room noises to a minimum.

One finished galley featuring one installed sink, complete with hot and cold water. The sick Formica counter tops banded in teak will give the end user countless food preparation options. Other features of this galley include a three burner stove with oven, sliding "bread box" doors, a huge refrigerator, drawers, and a tip-out trash can. Finishing touches will include a stove cover and a microwave. A side not to this galley, there was a bottle of whiskey in the fridge that disappeared, anyone with information about the disappearance please contact me at the boatshop.

Here is the tower/arch awaiting the arrival of the boom truck. The race is on the boom truck should be arriving today. If we are good we'll have the arch fit before the new 38' Northern Bay arrives from Downeast Boats & Composites.
